 Assignment 2
Benefits of using technology in the classroom

  1. Using technology gives you more time to teach a subject(s), as a teacher you can write down everything of the lesson in a power point presentation. Writing on a blackboard takes time. 
  2. Most students don't have a computer at home so teaching math with a computer program will be  a must.
  3. When a teacher uses technology in the classroom the students will be more interested in learning, because students now a days don't want to write lessons or read out of a book.
  4. Parents can learn from their children how to use a computer when the children learn it at school.
  5. With internet at school a teacher can search for information of teaching a subject or students can do their own research .
  6. When students have learn how to work with a computer they won't be hanging around at the corner of streets, they would be busy playing games or downloading some books online.
  7. The community won't be complaining about boys that are hanging around.

The sub title of the video:
Sharrel Righters has found my lesson fabulous, the way I have presented my lesson with ict tools. And also how I used the paint program to let the children colour the districts of Suriname on a laptop.
The demonstrative things I brought to show the students. She also said that the Ministry of Education can take a sample of my lesson how I used ict tools to teach. Sharrel said that other teacher could watch the video as a example and also try it out. There was one minus point in the lesson. I was asking a student a question and she didn't know the answer and I gave a bag of shrimps to another student who knew the answer. Sharrel said I could have given her something else instead. My lesson was very clear and the students were excited and participating well. The students at the back could not see all the things on my desk because the table was a little low, it should have been on a higher table.
